I thought I would change things up a little bit on the blog here, and take one day a week to talk about how the wedding plans are coming along. That way I will be able to stay focused on my health goals, as well as share a little bit of the information about what's going on with the big plans.
We have a date that's almost firm. But we're not officially saying it yet. I will say it's August.
And the location is a little bit of a sticky situation, but it should be worked out pretty soon.
I never knew how much wedding planning consumes of your life! Adam and I talked on the phone last night like we always do, but we didn't realize until 40 minutes into the conversation that we had ONLY talked about wedding stuff. It's a huge wake up call and I'm trying to make sure I focus more on the marriage and the happiness that comes with it, than planning out one day of my life.
We do have a photographer almost set, too, which is really exciting. This photographer is excellent, and she comes with a videographer as well, which is something that's really important to us since not everyone will be able to be at the wedding.
Right now we're working on formulating a bridal party. And I'm almost set on my color motif for the day.
I have a cake mostly squared away, too, which is nice.
So that's where we are with the planning....it's a big job that we have to do in a very short amount of time, but it will all be worth it when I'm married to the man I love.
More announcements to come soon!
Planning it in three months does make it a little more stressful :) Don't forget about invitations...they take a little while to get in. Have fun with it!!! Buying the dress is fun too! I am so excited for you guys!!! What are the plans after the wedding?
ReplyDeleteWell, directly after the wedding we're going on a honeymoon...I think Adam was inspired by your cruise pictures because that was the first thing he suggested. So we're looking into that.
ReplyDeleteAfter that, Adam is going to move to Decatur, where I already have a house.
I'm trying to rush to pick out invitations quickly...fortunately, I have some family who is really good at graphic design type stuff, so I think we'll get them in time.
Yay!!! We LOVE LOVE LOVE cruises!!! We are big Royal Caribbean fans! Have either of yall been on a cruise before? If you have any questions about the cruise (ports of call, excursions, where on the boat to get a room...anything), let me know...or Moon can call Stroube. We love to talk about it :)
ReplyDeleteGood call on the invitations...can't wait to hear about all of the other details...colors, etc.
I enjoy reading the updates. Uncle Mike and I have only been on one cruise (Royal Caribbean), but we loved it and would go on another if the opportunity came along. Get a room with a balcony! Try to enjoy the process - I know, easy for me to say when I don't know the daily decisions that need to be made. Love you lots!!
ReplyDeletehey, this is adam's cousin elizabeth. i printed my own invitations and it was much much cheaper than ordering them. I bought some blank fancy, weddingy ones at hobby lobby and printed them at home. they come with cute fonts and templates if you dont know what to say. just a thought. we paid for our wedding mostly on our own, so we cut every cost we could.
